This scanner feed went live 2015-08-17

A bit of history,

This scanner feed has been running the same Radio Shack scanner for 10 years non-stop 24/7/365
The scanner is getting old and tired, the display flickers and the audio at times goes in and out. I would like to replace this scanner with a new one so the audio stream can continue. When this scanner dies this feed will go silent. Please consider donating to replace the old radio shack scanner. Thank you

Understanding Online Police Scanners

Online police scanners allow users to listen to live audio feeds from police, fire, and emergency services. These feeds are typically broadcast over the internet, making them accessible from various devices.
How They Function
Source of Feeds: Online scanners rely on volunteers like me who stream audio from their physical police scanners. These volunteers use platforms to share their feeds, the costs incurred to provide a volunteer audio stream can be substantial.
Accessing Feeds: Users can access these feeds through websites or mobile apps as long as a provider is streaming. The stream can also be private meaning the volunteer can stream to only a desired group of individuals.
Types of Communications Available
Police and Fire: Most feeds include police dispatch and fire department communications.
Emergency Services: Users can also listen to EMS and other emergency services, providing insight into local incidents.
